One Saturday a month having an Open Air Market could bring hundreds of consumers from around the metroplex into downtown Fort Worth. Think of the Main St. Fort Worth Arts Festival but on a smaller scale.

The market can support a wide range of venders including farmers' stalls, small boutiques, artisans, prepared foods, artist, performers, musicians and many more. This would be an opportunity for small business owners and/or upstarts who may not have a storefront to get their product or service to the public and for established businesses to gain new and retain customers.

To pay for the space, the area to be used can be divided into booths and rented to vendors. Depending on booth size and location, the prices can be adjusted with larger, high traffic area booths costing more than a small secluded one. The rent for the booths should equal the cost to rent the location of the market.

An Open Air Market would bring people into the city while giving residents an exciting alternative way to spend their Saturdays.
