Fort Worth's unique industry base is punctuated with its aviation design and manufacturing companies such as Bell helicopter, Lockheed Martin, and General Dynamics. These companies and others, including those in past years, built some of the most recognizable aircraft in the world for both military and commercial as well having some stationed at the old Carswell SAC base. The B-29, B-36, B-52 to the F-16, F-111, and Huey helicopter and V-22 tilt rotor are just some of the notable aircraft used by the U.S. military and others that would showcase Fort Worth's contribution in aviation history. The facility's architecture could resemble an Art Deco styled hangar and find home near the convention center or just north of downtown on the banks of the Trinity. The museum could offer many interactive displays, aircraft walk-through, and historical films. In short, the museum should be on par with the Smithsonian Air & Space museum in Washington, D.C. at least in terms of quality.
