As with all my ideas, just read to the end and it will all make sense!

We need to nurture the downtown area as a regional destination for special events. Main Street Arts Festival is a great start but more can be done.

Did you know that the "Cruisin the Coast" classic car and hot rod event in Biloxi, Mississippi generates 15 million dollars in business for the area?

How about a weekend car event on Main Street in Fort Worth? Close Main like we do for the Main Street Arts Festival. If you don't know, classic car and hot rod folks sink some serious money in their cars and they love to get together and just show off their rides. Fort Worth's location is prime to draw folks from all over who just like to have a good time and will spend money. We could use Lancaster or North Main as the "strip" for the weekend and folks could just do a loop. It would take coordination from the city to make it work but it could be a really cool event.

Family friendly and Dallas has nothing like it.

Enough said!

See you then!

Stuff like this is very family friendly

The more I think of this the better I like it. People can park car haulers down at the Cats baseball stadium and then they can cruise North Main at night. they would obviously pay for their spot on Main Street which would offset all the costs of putting the show on. Get a corporate sponsor for additional support. Mayor Price and the Council can support it by participating in judging.
