Better Use of the Water Gardens

The water gardens are a special place and should be utilized for more events and activities. I would LOVE it if the quiet pool was open to casual wading in the summer (we all do it anyway) as a place to cool down and unwind. Why can't their be local musicians booked to play in the back stage area (SW corner) during weekend evenings? There's PLENTY of grassy areas for lawn chairs, blankets and picnics. Why can't there be a snow cone stand posted in the center of the water gardens Saturday and Sunday afternoons. If you go to any progressive city in the US, these spaces are utilized as blanket, picnic, lounging, frisbee, croquet, reading and lazy afternoon mellow-out zones. Right now, the Water Gardens are so rigid. Let's wade in the Quiet Pool people!!!
