A weekend farmers market would bring more visitors into downtown as well as allowing residents to do their grocery shopping in their own neighborhood. The idea of having a farmers market on weekdays is fine and all, but not all residents that live in downtown actually work in downtown. A regular farmers market would also encourage residents to move downtown and would help create an even more walkable community. A good location for a weekend market would be on the east side of Sundance Square or on Main St on Saturday/Sunday mornings. Main St. is easy to close off without having to divert too much traffic, and it also provides plenty of natural shade for vendors and shoppers. Let's keep Fort Worth shopping locally.
