After traveling to Helsinki and other European cities numerous times, I'm impressed with how easy it is for a complete foreigner/stranger to get around. We need to copy some of their examples for downtown Fort Worth. One is to make sure there are illuminated city maps on major (if not all) street corners with detailed information about Fort Worth and the specific location. A radio feed for tourists would be helpful, with info on the maps. Same for list of free wifi providers and helpful web links. We also need to help the disabled more. Many cities provide audio at crosswalks; the tone/tempo changes as the time to cross ends. Another useful feature I've seen is to have yellow lights blink just before they turn red. That reduces red light running and helps pedestrians be safer. Anyway, I would like foreign visitors to have it as easy here as I do in many of their cities. Let's benchmark against their best practices and make Fort Worth international!
