Fort Worth is by far the largest city in Texas without a 4-year public university. See the incredible impact UT has on Austin. It is the reason Google, Apple, etc established offices there. It is past time for Fort Worth to have its own university engine.
- Start small, with just a couple of programs (e.g. specific design and engineering, energy related programs), or start with graduate level programs.
- Urban campus intertwined with the Dowtnown street grid.
- Start in leased office space for flexible growth.
- Aim high. Quality and prestige are essential.

This will have a dramatic, immediate positive impact on the city with the influx of faculty and student talent which will contribute greatly to our city.
