A Bigger, More Interconnected Downtown Area

When cities expand, things appear closer than they used to be. For example, suburbs on the fringes of cities appear not so far away when they become engulfed by growing cities. In 10 years, I think both the Near Southside and Uptown will be more developed. Those two urban villages, combined with West Seventh Street, will seem much closer to the Downtown area as a result. It will make cycling from one village to the other seem like an easier, more appealing task. This will make West 7th residents more inclined to bike on over to Panther Island Pavillion for an event and vice versa. Right now, we aren't quite there with bike lanes and bike culture in Central Fort Worth. The impending bike sharing system will help with that.
