A few years ago when I lived in east Texas, my husband would host Open Air Open Art gatherings where people could bring their drop cloths, paint, easels, sketchbooks, crafts, whatever they were into, and do art together. Usually someone would bring a guitar to play light music and everyone enjoyed the fresh air and creative spirit. It would be nice for the city to help host a location for these kinds of events.
