Water Gardens
This idea has been discussed in the past and is a great one worth considering in the next 10 years as Lancaster continues to develop. In fact, Principal Alan Ritchie of Philip Johnson/Alan Ritchie Architects prepared an official report that stated one of the guiding principles for the Water Gardens should be to: enhance visual and pedestrian access to the Water Gardens while maintaining the park’s sense of mystery and discovery and integrate park improvements with surrounding redevelopment efforts such as the Convention Center and Lancaster Corridor. See attached rendering. Thank you for your comment!

The Water Gardens are extremely underutilized. I think part of the problem is that the green space close to Lancaster Ave. has a wall around it. If the wall were to be taken down, more people would realize the green space is there and use it more often. It could also be used as a venue for concerts as there is a stage already incorporated into the design.
